What to do When Death Occurs

When a death occurs call the Dee Funeral Home and Cremation Service any time, day or night and our knowledgeable staff will guide you through all the necessary steps that need to be taken.  The staff of the Dee Funeral Home will be ready to help you through the decision-making process and help you with the funeral arrangements that you desire.

If the death occurs at home under hospice care, the hospice nurse will complete the necessary paperwork and notify the attending physician and may also assist the family by notifying the funeral home.

If the death occurs at a nursing facility or hospital, the staff nurse will complete the necessary paperwork; notify the attending physician and may also assist the family by notifying the funeral home.

If the death occurs suddenly or unexpectedly at home, the local police are usually called first.  The police will then proceed by calling the proper authorities and will help the family during this time.

When in doubt about who to call when a death occurs, the Dee Funeral Home and Cremation Service will be ready to respond to your questions at any time, day or night and assist you in notifying the proper authorities.

If the death occurs in another state or country, the Dee Funeral Home and Cremation Service can handle all necessary arrangements for the family.  The funeral director will make all arrangements that the family desires.
